ICS Opens "Feeding Our Families" Food Pantry

In January of 2022, ICS was proud to open our Feeding Our Families Food Pantry, to help clients and our community with immediate food needs. While there are many food pantries in Brown County, there is a gap in services in the Ashwaubenon area. The purpose of the pantry is to provide basic items to those who are already at our office as rental assistance applicants or participants, and to the general public, who might find transportation to more distant pantries difficult. We stock non-perishable food and basic hygiene items. Anyone who needs basic food items can visit our Ashwaubenon office and request a bag of food and/or hygiene items, free of charge.

The pantry is open Monday-Friday from 9:00 am- 3:30 pm. Those who request items will be asked to select which items they want or need, and will be provided information on other resources in the community, such as pantries that stock fresh/perishable food items and how to get connected with FoodShare. Recipients will also be given a short survey to complete, so we can evaluate how well the pantry is meeting the needs of our community.

The Feeding Our Families Pantry received a generous grant from the Schreiber Foundation to start this initiative. We are incredibly thankful to Schreiber and the other donors who have helped launch this project, aimed at meeting immediate needs in our community.

Donations are accepted and can be dropped off at our office. We are located at 2605 S. Oneida St, Suite 106 in Green Bay, WI 54304. If your business or organization is interested in hosting a food drive to collect food to donate to the pantry, please contact Lori DeGrave at 920-498-3737.
