Ladder of Hope Fall 2020 Scholarship: Sponsored by AK Crust

ICS honored Abby LaLuzerne at the 2020 Ladder of Hope Scholarship Award Ceremony. Abby has strong goals for herself and a vision for her future. She should be incredibly proud of all that she has accomplished so far, and we know she will continue to do great things for her family and her community. We are so grateful for Alive & Kickin' Pizza Crust (AK Crust), who sponsored the scholarship.

Below is a statement from Abby regarding the impact of this scholarship for her and her family:

"I cannot express enough, my gratitude for being awarded the AK Crust/ Ladder of Hope scholarship. The scholarship has allowed me to both pay for my classes and save for essentials like gas and groceries. The stress alone of not being able to pay for those things would distract me from my studies, but now I can be more sure about my finances and success for this semester. Because of that, it's allowed me to see "the light at the end of the tunnel" in my program.

After I graduate, I intend to give back to the community by being a Physical Therapist Assistant, as well as show my daughter a way to break the cycle of poverty. Most of all, it's given me hope that because of programs like the Ladder of Hope, and companies like AK Crust, other people in my position will be able to have a brighter future and give back to the community as well.

I am truly grateful for this award and the opportunity to continue to better my and other people's futures through my degree."
